Snapshot
Audience: Minority entrepreneurs and small business owners
Challenge: Strong mission but fragmented brand and product experience
Solution: Cohesive identity, platform UX, and ongoing design system
Result: Tenfold membership growth and acquisition by ZenBusiness
Where They Started
Ureeka launched as a coaching community built to support minority business owners with the tools, mentorship, and education needed to grow sustainable companies. Their mission was clear, and their resources were strong, but their design infrastructure hadn’t yet caught up with their ambition.
As the platform expanded, leadership recognized that branding and user experience would directly influence growth. They weren’t just building a community; they were building a scalable ecosystem that needed to feel trustworthy, modern, and cohesive at every touchpoint.
From the earliest stages, Ureeka partnered with Acton Circle to create a design foundation that could grow with them.
What Was Getting in the Way
The organization had steady progress, but their visual and product experience lacked the cohesion needed to fully express their value.
They needed design that could:
- Build a brand identity aligned with their mission and existing logo
- Modernize their website into an intuitive community hub
- Elevate product interfaces to match the quality of their coaching content
- Create consistent marketing materials that attracted and retained members
What We Built
Acton Circle developed a comprehensive design system that unified Ureeka’s brand, product, and communications.
We introduced a distinct visual identity, revitalized their website experience, and streamlined a couple of key platform interfaces with thoughtful UX and custom illustrations. A growing library of branded assets supported marketing campaigns across digital and print.
Deliverables included:
- Visual identity and brand system
- Unified marketing collateral and social graphics
- Revitalized, user-centered website
- Streamlined product interface design
- Ongoing design subscription support
Each layer reinforced the same message: accessible expertise and community-driven growth.
What Changed
The design system became a catalyst for scale.
Ureeka experienced a tenfold increase in membership, stronger engagement across their community, and growing brand recognition. Their momentum positioned them as a strategic acquisition target, culminating in their acquisition by ZenBusiness in 2022.
What began as laying the brand's visual foundation became a growth engine.
