“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Olivia on a variety of design projects - from murals to impact reports to digital ads with lots in between. Olivia takes the time to really understand our nonprofit organization's mission as well as the goal, audience, and style for each project.
In addition to being a very talented, thoughtful, and creative designer, she has strong organization and communication skills. I have really enjoyed collaborating with Olivia over the years and would highly recommend working with her if you have the opportunity!”

(The ones making real impact)
Our approach combines strategic thinking with social impact design to advance missions that matter.
“I was put on this earth to use my gifts to help others.”
After twelve years of contributing to and leading design teams across the San Francisco Bay Area, I founded Acton Circle to focus entirely on amplifying social good. The namesake of my studio, Acton Circle, was the location of my grandparents’ home—a place where my faith and creativity began. I am part of their legacy, and I can’t wait to help you build yours.

Every month, we cycle through four key stages to consistently deliver exceptional design.
Strategic Discovery
We start by truly understanding your organization. Through thoughtful strategy sessions, we uncover what makes you unique and map out exactly how design can serve your goals.
Intentional Creation
With clear insight into your vision, we create materials that reflect your true caliber. Each design choice is intentional, working together to build trust and move people to action.
Measured Impact
We evaluate how each piece performs against your goals. This isn't just about metrics—it's about understanding how design is advancing your mission and opening new opportunities.
Continuous Evolution
Your impact grows. Your design should too. We continuously refine and adapt your materials to match your expanding vision, ensuring your design always reflects who you truly are.
Nonprofit and foundation teams who need steady, high-quality design support without the overhead of managing freelancers or hiring full-time staff.
If you’re juggling campaigns, donor materials, or internal communications—and want a partner who understands the nonprofit pace and priorities—this is for you.
Not exactly. Instead of clocking hours, we focus on steady progress on your most important priorities. In a typical month, clients see 6-8 completed deliverables. This can vary depending on the scope and complexity of requests.
Large projects (like multi-page publications or campaigns) may extend into the following month, while smaller projects often mean faster wins.
Our commitment is consistent daily attention and weekly progress updates—not a fixed quota.
You can always submit unlimited requests, but only two projects are active at a time. Additional requests are queued, prioritized, and started once space opens up. This keeps the workflow focused and ensures your projects move forward without bottlenecks.
When possible, yes. We understand nonprofit timelines aren’t always predictable. Urgent projects may bump the queue or require a rush fee, depending on workload and scope. We’ll always be transparent about what’s possible.
Most clients use this partnership for ongoing, small-to-medium design needs:
+ Email graphics
+ Social media posts
+ One-pagers
+ Presentations
+ Fundraising materials
+ Donor or program collateral
Larger projects—like annual/impact reports, campaign brand systems, logo refreshes, or multi-page publications—are possible too. Just note:
+ They’ll take both active project slots until completed.
+ Timelines will extend beyond the usual 3–5 day turnaround.
+ Multiple large projects in a term may require additional scope, time, or fees.
Final size classification (small, medium, or large) is determined by Acton Circle based on complexity and effort.
Yes, we ask for a 3-month minimum (one full quarter) to ensure we can support you strategically and build momentum together.
We require a 30-day notice to pause or cancel services. This policy helps us ensure a thoughtful wrap-up of ongoing projects and a smooth transition for your design needs. During this period, we'll focus on completing priority work and organizing your design assets, maintaining the high-quality partnership experience you expect from us.
Hiring and managing creative talent takes time, oversight, and additional costs (benefits, taxes, recruiting, onboarding). Freelancers may be more flexible, but often lack availability or the strategic partnership that nonprofits need.
With us, you get a design team that already understands the nonprofit landscape without the management headaches.
If you’re looking for a single project or quick-turnaround design support, our Annual Report Design Intensive services may be a better fit.
Our Branding & Design Partnership is best for teams that need ongoing design strategy and execution.
We lead with design—the kind that’s built on substance. That’s why we help shape and repurpose your existing content so it works beautifully across platforms, formats, and audiences.
Say goodbye to chasing updates. Our structured approach ensures you always know where your design is heading and how it serves your goals.
We’re a specialized nonprofit design firm, not generalists. We understand how foundations engage donors, how tech-for-good balances product with impact, and how purpose-driven firms position themselves.
Unlike most nonprofit design firms, our clear investment model means no surprise fees, no scope creep, and no complex billing structures. Just straightforward terms that respect your planning needs.
