Project Summary

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) leads national efforts to prevent diabetes and improve care for those affected. Through its Eye Health Initiative—supported by Genentech—the organization expands access to vision screenings and reduces preventable blindness among people living with diabetes.

ADA partnered with Acton Circle to create a digital impact report that not only showcased measurable outcomes but also made those results feel personal and actionable. The report needed to speak to funders, policymakers, and healthcare partners alike—balancing data with design that communicates clarity, credibility, and compassion.

The Eye Health Initiative had achieved major progress—but it lived mostly in spreadsheets and internal documents.

They needed:

We created a 21-page digital impact report that made ADA’s results clear, visual, and memorable. The design integrated infographics, callouts, and quote highlights to humanize data and keep readers engaged. Each section followed a flexible wireframe built for iteration as content evolved.

A custom map visualization connected outcomes to geography, while intentional use of ADA’s color system and typography maintained national brand integrity. Every layout decision supported readability—especially for policy and partner audiences reviewing on screen.
