Snapshot

Audience: Community partners, policymakers, and mental health advocates

Challenge: Dense research needed to be translated into public-facing clarity

Solution: Visual research report + unified brand system

Result: Accessible storytelling and a repeatable design foundation for future work

Where They Started

Chiron Community Giving Foundation is committed to expanding access to affordable, high-quality mental healthcare in North St. Louis City and County. Their investments connect clinical care with housing, education, and basic needs to drive long-term systemic change.

When they prepared to publish new mental health research, they weren’t just releasing a report. They were introducing a framework for understanding how social conditions shape access to care.

The research was strong. The challenge was making it understandable, shareable, and credible to audiences beyond specialists.

Chiron saw an opportunity to:

  • Translate complex mental health data into a community-ready report
  • Connect healthcare access to broader social systems
  • Establish a visual identity that could support future advocacy

What Was Getting in the Way

The project was being driven directly by the President & CEO, alongside researchers and external consultants who brought deep subject expertise. What the team didn’t have was in-house design capacity to translate that work into a public-facing resource.

The research and strategy were strong, but without a visual system, the findings remained dense and difficult for communities, partners, and policymakers to engage with.

Chiron needed design that could:

  • Turn research into a narrative people could follow
  • Present data without overwhelming readers
  • Build trust through professional visual standards
  • Create consistency across future communications
  • Extend the life of the report beyond a single publication

The work required design capable of bridging research and public understanding.

What We Built

We designed a digital-first research report that distilled dense findings into an engaging, accessible story.

Bold infographics, structured layouts, and intentional pacing made the data readable without sacrificing depth. The report was optimized for digital viewing so it could circulate widely across community and policy conversations.

From that foundation, we built a comprehensive brand style guide to support everything that followed.

Deliverables included:

  • Mental health research report with infographics and visualization
  • Digital-optimized layouts aligned with Chiron’s identity
  • A full brand style guide covering logo use, color, typography, iconography, imagery, and layout systems

What Changed

Chiron now has a professional, accessible way to share its research and a unified visual system to guide future work.

The report helped spark conversations around targeted investment, community initiatives, and legislative priorities. The brand system ensures consistency and credibility across every channel moving forward.

The work didn’t end with a publication. It created a foundation for sustained visibility.
