Your design speaks for your organization every day.

Are your materials visually aligned with the impact you create? If you just thought, “Maybe not,” let's talk. Finding the right nonprofit design partner isn't easy, and you’re probably experiencing these:
ICONS 1
Your on-staff comms associate is juggling everything from donor decks to social posts (with design as just one more task), which means missed opportunities to market and fundraise at the level your mission deserves.
ICONS 1
Or your main designer is out on leave, and you need a trusted partner to step in so projects don’t come to a full stop.
ICONS 1
You’re stuck playing project matchmaker with freelancers who don’t get purpose-driven design, spending all your time training and re-explaining your mission. Again. And again. And again.
ICONS 1
Maybe you've tried agencies, but the unpredictable bills, delays, and rotating junior designers aren't giving you the consistent quality or “trusted partner” experience you need.
ICONS 1
Perhaps you've built a brand you love, but you haven’t found partners who can stick to your creative guidelines while effectively capturing the essence of your mission (so you end up with hit-or-miss materials and inconsistent designs).
That’s why we’re here. Our Monthly Design Partnership is built specifically for purpose-driven organizations at your level.

More focused than a full agency, more muscle than a single designer. We’re a clear monthly investment that helps reclaim your time, stewards a standout branding strategy, and advocates for your mission with consistency and clarity.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Olivia on a variety of design projects - from murals to impact reports to digital ads with lots in between. Olivia takes the time to really understand our nonprofit organization's mission as well as the goal, audience, and style for each project.

In addition to being a very talented, thoughtful, and creative designer, she has strong organization and communication skills. I have really enjoyed collaborating with Olivia over the years and would highly recommend working with her if you have the opportunity!”

“I was put on this earth to use my gifts to help others.”

After twelve years of contributing to and leading design teams across the San Francisco Bay Area, I founded Acton Circle to focus entirely on amplifying social good. The namesake of my studio, Acton Circle, was the location of my grandparents’ home—a place where my faith and creativity began. I am part of their legacy, and I can’t wait to help you build yours.

“Part of the team” partnership experience

Every month, we cycle through four key stages to consistently deliver exceptional design.

01

Monthly Strategy Call

One week before the start of each month, we meet for a strategy call to review priorities and upcoming needs.

This ensures we enter the month with clarity on what matters most and how design can best support your mission.

strategic 1

02

Design in Action

With priorities set, we get to work. You’ll have up to two active projects moving at a time, with additional requests queued and scheduled based on complexity and urgency.

Each design—whether it’s a one-pager, donor update, or campaign material—is created to strengthen trust and inspire action.

03

Weekly Progress Updates

You’ll receive weekly updates, so you always know where projects stand and what’s coming up next. Transparency is key—we keep you in the loop without you having to chase.

04

Ongoing Refinement

At the end of each month, we step back to review what was delivered and how it supported your goals. Then we adjust priorities and refine for the coming months, ensuring your design continues to evolve with your mission.

Have questions? We've got answers.

Who is our Branding & Design Partnership best for?

Nonprofit and foundation teams who need steady, high-quality design support without the overhead of managing freelancers or hiring full-time staff.

If you’re juggling campaigns, donor materials, or internal communications—and want a partner who understands the nonprofit pace and priorities—this is for you.

Will I get a guaranteed amount of hours/designs each month?

Not exactly. Instead of tracking hours, we focus on steady progress on your top priorities. In a typical month, clients see 6–8 completed deliverables, though this varies based on scope and complexity.

Big projects (like campaigns) may carry over into the next month, while smaller ones often mean quicker wins.

What if I need more than two active design projects?

You can always submit unlimited requests, but only two projects are active at a time. Additional requests are queued, prioritized, and started once space opens up. This keeps the workflow focused and ensures your projects move forward without bottlenecks.

Can you handle last-minute or urgent projects?

When possible, yes. We understand nonprofit timelines aren’t always predictable. Urgent projects may bump the queue or require a rush fee, depending on workload and scope. We’ll always be transparent about what’s possible.

What types of projects can we work on together?

Most clients use this partnership for ongoing, small-to-medium design needs:

+ Email graphics
+ Social media posts
+ One-pagers
+ Presentations
+ Fundraising materials
+ Donor or program collateral

Annual and impact reports—as well as other multi-page publications—aren’t included in the standard monthly partnership.

They’re offered through our dedicated Report Intensives.

If you commit to a 12-month partnership, reports can be included in your monthly scope, with the understanding they’ll take both project slots until completed.

Final size classification (small, medium, or large) is determined by Acton Circle based on complexity and effort.

Is there a minimum commitment for the monthly design partnership?

Yes, we ask for a 3-month minimum (one full quarter) to ensure we can support you strategically and build momentum together.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require a 30-day notice to pause or cancel services. This policy helps us ensure a thoughtful wrap-up of ongoing projects and a smooth transition for your design needs. During this period, we'll focus on completing priority work and organizing your design assets, maintaining the high-quality partnership experience you expect from us.

Why shouldn’t I just hire a full-time designer or freelancer?

Hiring and managing creative talent takes time, oversight, and additional costs (benefits, taxes, recruiting, onboarding). Freelancers may be more flexible, but often lack availability or the strategic partnership that nonprofits need.

With us, you get a design team that already understands the nonprofit landscape without the management headaches.

Additionally, many nonprofits spend $40K–$60K/year piecing together freelancers or hiring a single junior designer.

That often means inconsistent quality, limited skills, and extra oversight for you or your team. Our design partnership starts at $5,500/month (3-month minimum).

For that investment, you get senior-level strategy, project management, and multi-discipline design support without the need for day-to-day oversight.

Do you offer one-off design projects?

If you’re looking for a single project or quick-turnaround design support, our Annual Report Design Intensive services may be a better fit.

Our Branding & Design Partnership is best for teams that need ongoing design strategy and execution.

Why purpose-driven leaders choose us
as their go-to social change design agency

Because we’re design experts (who understand content, too)

We lead with design—the kind that’s built on substance. That’s why we help shape and repurpose your existing content so it works beautifully across platforms, formats, and audiences.

Because we have a structured process (zero chaos here)

Say goodbye to chasing updates. Our structured approach ensures you always know where your design is heading and how it serves your goals.

Artboard 1_4@2x

Because we’re purpose-driven specialists (not just occasional do-gooders)

We’re a specialized nonprofit design firm, not generalists. We understand how foundations engage donors, how tech-for-good balances product with impact, and how purpose-driven firms position themselves.

Because we keep things clear and simple (no surprises or complexity)

Unlike most nonprofit design firms, our clear investment model means no surprise fees, no scope creep, and no complex billing structures. Just straightforward terms that respect your planning needs.

You handle the mission. We’ll handle the design.
